BIG STORY: Former Jinja RDC Eric Sakwa Denies Trying To Commit Suicide

Over the past few days there were reports making rounds on social media indicating that former Jinja RDC Joseph Eric is dead, while others were claiming he was caught committing suicide after things failing in his life.

However, while speaking to a local Television in an interview, Sakwa whose influence and power was dramatically brought to an end after being jailed in Kirinya prison over murders charges in a well coordinated arrest and court session in Jinja on 24th April 2020, he says reports of him committing suicide are intended to taint his name.

The Fake Claims That Sakwa Was Committing Suicide

The former Museveni’s blue eyed boy survived death last year when a petrol bomb was thrown at his vehicle in Kampala on 11th May 2021 but prior to this, he had been and is still battling murder charges of a one Isanga a resident of Lwanda village on the outskirts of Jinja city who is reported to have succumbed to grave injuries after beatings by Sakwa and his goons while enforcing curfew in the first lockdown around March 2020.

Sakwa Says He Intends Not to End His Life, That’s Just wolokoso

Sakwa says the fake claims are being circulated by those from opposition and land grabbers who erupted into celebrations when he was arrested like a chicken chief from a Jinja based radio station and led to his downfall.
