JUST IN: Henry Katanga’s Elderly Mother Wants Breastfeeding Martha Transferred To Luzira

The mother of Henry Katanga, Mirieli Kyobuhoro aged 91 years, has written to DPP Francis Adobo directing her to make sure that the widow Molly Bananukye who was recently charged with the killing of her husband Katanga together with her daughter Martha Katanga are transfered from Kampala International Hospital IHK to Luzira prison. Mirieli says that Luzira also has good facilities where Molly and Martha can receive good treatment if it’s true that they are sick and not feeling well. Martha Katanga gave birth to her second child last Saturday and this is the reason Police was unable to arrest and bring her before the Judge in Nakawa to be arraigned and charged on the day the same was done for her other sister Patricia and the two shambaboys and maid.

The two girls and the house helps are charged with trying to tamper with the crime scene in order to cover up their mother Molly Bananukye Katanga’s guilt and complicit in the murder of their father Henry Katanga. Molly was also not brought to court nor taken to Luzira because she was believed to be in the ICU for the hospital in Kisugu.

Mirieli, who now hates Molly because her friendly generals defied the court order and buried her son Henry Katanga in a wrong place, at the wife’s home, doubts if her daughter in law is surely sick and unwell to continue being at IHK. She wants the DPP to make sure that both Molly and Martha are transfered to Luzira so that Martha can breastfeed her week old baby from there and Molly be getting medication from there.

Mirieli has hired new top Kampala lawyers who include former minister Mwesigwa Rukutana, Paul Kutesa and Frank Kanduho. She wants the DPP to meet her to hear her side of the story and continue working with the three lawyers to ensure that no one compromises the pursuit of justice for her murdered son Henry Katanga.

She challenges the DPP to closely work with her as the late’s mother and others like Brig Fred Karara Machwa who is the paternal uncle of the late, Barnabas Taremwa the brother in law to the late, his niece Marjorie Nyangweso and sister Naomi Kashishane. Mirieli says these are the right people the DPP should depend on as complainants because there is no way Molly Bananukye and her children can be both the accused criminals and complainants at the same time in the same case.

She also dismisses claims by Molly’s lawyers of KAA that Arthur Katanga, Martha Katanga and Patricia Katanga are lawful children of her son Henry Katanga. She recognises only Siima aged 12 years but not the others. She wants to meet the DPP and explain her details on all this. Mirieli also asks the DPP to cause the arrest and charging of UPDF Colonel Mwesigwa Rwabwera Naboth because he is the accomplice after the fact of the murder of her son Henry Katanga. She wants Rukutana and the other two lawyers to be allowed to sit in court each time the matter comes up so that they make sure that no one messes up the murder case of her son.
