“They Will Now Go For Lavish Weddings And Boat Cruises After Receiving Gov’t Cash”- Mao Scoffs At NUP leadership

As the war of words rage on social media between Democratic Party president General over Oulanyah’s sickness issue on whether the Shs1.7 and chartering a full airbus to the US to carry him alone was an option, Mao has hit hard at NUP over avoiding to meet Museveni and speak to him one on one.

The vocal DP president is challenging NUP not only to benefit from the Political parties cash released recently to parties with representation in parliament by Electoral Commission but also consider negotiating with government on several other issues they continue complaining about especially torture and imprisonment of their supporters.

Thanks to the useless photo opportunities, tea drinking and boot licking by some of us in @IPOD_UG many kidnapped, arrested & tortured activists were released. In addition funding to parties with MPs was more than tripled. Some eat meat. Others eat soup! #WeAreRemovingADictator pic.twitter.com/UN1WJQJ0W0

I’m no prophet but I predict that as the struggle continues we shall see fashion shows, boat cruises, lavish weddings, foreign trips with family and friends and more. Also new rides. Though in that league most of the personalized number plates will be in Kyadondo Road, Nakasero!

According to what Mao shared on his Twitter account, National Unity platform received Shs 3.1 billion as it’s by law and now they will start going for boat cruises, lavish weddings, foreign trips but they won’t say that they received the money from the government they keep smearing with dirt. Museveni’s NRM took the lion’s share of Shs17.1 billion, FDC got Shs1.7 billion, UPC and Mao’s DP both got Shs485m each while JEEMA and PPP both got Shs53million each.

How Political Parties Shared EC Money

“I’m no prophet but I predict that as the struggle continues we shall see fashion shows, boat cruises, lavish weddings, foreign trips with family and friends and more. Also new rides. Though in that league most of the personalized number plates will be in Kyadondo Road, Nakasero!’- Reads Mao’s Tweet

Mao says simply because his party meets Museveni and government under IPOD, their kidnapped, arrested and tortured activists have since been released therefore NUP should borrow a leaf and follow suit to save their supporters who are rotting in both known and unknown detention facilities around the country as suggested by Kimanya-Kabonera legislator Dr Abed Bwanika.
