Julius Mugabi, bodyguard to musician Patrick Mulwana, famously known as Alien Skin, was remanded by Makindye Chief Magistrates Court on November 22, 2024, on charges of grievous body harm against doctors at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

This comes after a fast manhunt and remanding of ‘Alien Skin’ by Uganda Police after a video clip trended on TikTok, a social media app, showing a group exchanging heated words and appearing to physically confront some staff members.

Mugabi has denied the charges and will remain in custody until November 25, 2024, and the two are also expected to come to court to face the new charges.

It is alleged that Alien Skin and his colleagues beat two security guards and other medical staff at the hospital. The hospital staff who are victims of the attack include Dr. Zaidi Matovu and two security guards, Anthony Muyanda and Alex Odongo.
