JUST IN: Floods Swallow Kasese Again, Kill 11 People Dead And Others Hospitalized

Last month floods wrecked havoc in Mbale, Bududa leaving over 20 dead and several displaced. Government rushed to compensate the affected families that lost their loved one’s through minister for presidency Milly Babalanda.

Less than a month since the catastrophe, it has been reported that Kasese is also flooding to be particular Kasiki village, Rukoki Sub-county where landslides have swallowed 11 people and 6 hospitalized according to the Kasese district chairperson Eliphaz Bukombi as reported by NTV Uganda.

Floods kill people in prone areas in the mountaneous areas of Kisoro, Mbale and Kasese almost every year, government is yet to come up with a lasting solution to stop the deaths or even fully resettle such victims in safer areas.
